Inspired by the bright falling leaves and the journey they take as they dance from the trees.

Encouraged by the blooming wildflowers that grow with beauty unseen, from the places of darkness to the meadows of green.

Uplifted by the innocence and possibilities that little ones see, laughter and smiles of hearts young and free.

Awed by the plan greater than me, and the hope to be the wife and mother I am called to be.

I pray to share joy with my words endlessly. So, that children may see the beauty in the world from the mountains to the sea.”

Morgan Macaranas grew up in a small town in the foothills of North Carolina where she enjoyed spending time with her grandparents and great-grandparents on their farm, which has been in her family for over one hundred years. Now, she is a mother of two, and her children’s love of adventures inspired her to write Down in the Pasture, an interactive story that celebrates the outdoors and all of God’s creation. Morgan’s debut children’s book shows that there’s so much to enjoy in nature, even in one’s own backyard, as it provides countless opportunities for discovery and education.
